The inaugural Queniborough FC CurryOke night was held at the Spice of India Syston on the 25th September 2004. With hits such as 'Korma Chameleon', 'Ring of Fire' and 'Blowing in the Wind' being suggested before the event, it was looking like the night could turn into a night of cheesy curry related songs! Over sixty tickets were sold for the event, and so the function room at the Spice of India was jam-packed full of players, friends and family. A rendition of ‘You’ll never walk alone’ by the members of Queniborough FC’s reserve team showed the team spirit within the current squad, but it was suggested by management that after the past few reserve team results, this sort of team spirit should be transferred onto the playing field on a Saturday afternoon! A big thank you goes out to Wayne and Phil Taylor for their time and effort during the event which was very much appreciated by the committee and players of Queniborough Football Club. We hope everyone who attended the night had a great time and we look forward to seeing you at the next Queniborough FC event!
